Kinesiology – the study of movement – analyzes how and why humans move the way they do. It’s a multidisciplinary practice, incorporating the study of anatomy, biomechanics, ergonomics, and physiology, as well as social and cultural factors.

Kinesiology uses muscle testing or monitoring to assess the physical, structural, and biochemical state of the patient’s body. Imbalances or blockages in movement can be caused by a number of issues such as injury, stress (physical or emotional), nutritional deficiency, fatigue, poor posture, a sedentary lifestyle, and more.
